In 2008 our equity derivatives business achieved a number of
milestones, including being the first bank based in the region to
be able to price and trade OTC Options in all GCC countries. The
division grew tenfold over the previous year in terms of notionally
traded equity derivatives and the number of client trades increased
fourfold. The Equity Derivatives team at Arqaam has the ability to
offer a wide range of products for its clients to obtain exposure
to the GCC markets. Depending on the risk appetite and view
of the markets clients have the opportunity to trade a variety
products, including

Arqaam Capital is currently the only trading member of Nasdaq
Dubai, enabling clients to trade single stocks and Index, Futures
listed on the exchange. Arqaam is also looking to market make on
the currently listed futures and its options that will be listed
soon.
Volumes of listed futures traded on Nasdaq Dubai increased every
month since their launch in November 2008.
In keeping with Arqaam Capital's vision to promote the
efficiency and depth of the Capital Markets in the region, the
derivatives team frequently participates in educating market
participants on equity derivatives products.
