Mr Buharoon is the Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and, prior to that, was the Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank International (CBI). Mr Buharoon has over 18 years of banking experience. In addition, he held various positions in the UAE Central Bank (Assistant Manager Internal Audit Department, Head of Examiners and Assistant Manager to Finance Division) and also held positions with First Gulf Bank (General Auditor); National Bank of Abu Dhabi (Head of Domestic Banking) and AG Holding (Partner and CEO).

Mr Buharoon has a Bachelor in Accounting & Business Administration.
